In families with many dishes (fish, meat), without a question the woman will have a good meal, but since the man has already eaten, he only eats for show. Also, after the man eats the hook-blessing meal, he cannot eat from the same bowl as the woman. The man and the woman must eat from two different bowls.

After lunch, the man must again go down to the sea and make sure the oarlocks are secure.

Makapan is a term used in flying fish season, meaning “caught flying fish.” Flying fish caught out of season is called makakna.

Panavikan is called pamorongan in Jiratay, the name for a blessing ceremony for fishing equipment.

Pozis is used to indicate the leftover fish bait (flying fish meat) from catching dolphin fish. Pozisan is the container used to put the leftover bait.

Nizazaw is the time when the fish drying racks and tie ropes are not yet moved back to the village and are temporarily left outside the village until the time is right to bring them in.

Pinaranaw originally meant “hundred, thousand.” Looking at the number of the catch each year, one can catch hundreds of fish at once. Other than flying fish, no fish can be caught in such numbers. Therefore, pinaranaw was used as another term in reference to flying fish.

When a dolphin fish takes the bait, it is called sazpeden, in other words da kanen no arayo.

[7] dey, da i 的結合。

Da i combined is dey.
