they get home, they say, “We can start digging taro.” “Ok.” After they finish
digging taro, they will start to count the number of people (who are invited).

they go home, they say, “How many people in total?” “There are three people (of
course). Give each of them fifty (taro?). But even though we say that, I don’t
know if we have enough.”

Therefore
they look it over again. “How does it look?” “It doesn’t look like we have
enough. They have already finished digging taro, but there is not enough taro
for the villager’s portion. How about giving each person forty?” “Ok, that
works too,” they say.

As for
the animal gift, no one in the past killed three because there weren’t that
many. Most of the time, they killed two, and sometimes only one. As for the
gift meat, there was no extra to give.

they are ready to hold the ceremony indicating completion, they will go to
invite all of their family and friends in the village.

This
is what the main person (the host of the ceremony) wearing a silver hat will
sing to invite the guests at the beginning of the ceremony.

Meaning: you are holding
a ceremony for completion in the coldest days of winter, and you can get this
much taro, so I will not forget it.
