All (lady) friends and aunts, what is the sky like? I wonder if it stretches all the way to Taiwan. Or are we looking at the end of the sky right now?...  (the meaning of this sentence is not clear.)…” “Ummm, maybe!... (the meaning of this sentence is not clear.)…” “(The visible skyline) is it the horizon that connects to the houses of Taiwan?”

(One male interrupted): That should be the end of the sky. Boats shouldn’t be able to pass.”

“ji na nongey dang o avang a,

“Since it is the skyline, and boats cannot pass, then the other side of the horizon would be somewhere in Taiwan.” “Maybe!” We all laughed

no manga-m-angay do ilaod am,

“to saon mi-oli-oli do ilaod ya”,

“a jiakakoannata”,  [原是:ji a-ka-koan na ta ]

In other words, if one goes to Taiwan, “the sky – Taiwan is accessable!?” How can the sky be connected to the sea? When sailing on the ocean, you cannot see the end of sea no matter how far you look (even if you look so hard that you go blind)….. somewhere in Taiwan…. is farther than that?”   “Of course! ”

 “ow kamo ori   a m-angay do ilaod a mak-acita  so…. ,

“Oh, I envy you for being able to go to Taiwan, and can see…. What does it look like?” Later, all of this was passed on to my father. At the time, your uncle had just come back from Taiwan not too long ago.”

“Oh, by the way, they were going to take you sightseeing (to inspect and learn from other's work).  They took you down the road to the grain field. Actually I was a rice grower (I should be going sightseeing), but you took my place because at the time we just had a baby. It was probably around then.

“m-angay ko imo palit-an koan mo sio am,

”You told me, I’ll take your place, so you went.” They took those people (rice growers) sightseeing. At the time, I had planted a field of rice, and also planted rice in a taro field at do makagat. Si Kazazang wrote it all down.

That is it. That is all I will say about this. Afterwards, when I was weeding the field, si Kazazang saw me working beside the road, and so he came over to where I was.

After he saw me and said, “How are you?” I stood up and had a look at him. At the time, I was weeding. “Wow, the rice you planted is very good. Excellent! You are pretty good at cultivating. Stand up so I can take a picture of you,” he said. “No!” I said, “My clothes are so ugly.” “That’s OK. It is only a picture!” Then he took a picture of me.
